I dated a Marine once. Then I found out he already had been issued a companion - a legal one. Grrrrrrr!

You're welcome! And, speaking of welcome... WELCOME to FR!!! I love the graphics on your profile. Hope you don't mind that I saved them. Gonna print them and tuck into letters to the troops. :)

SUPPORT THE TROOPS PING
Michael.SF. : Thank You for posting this.
All : Can you spare a few moments today to e-mail a service person?
There is also informationabout sending CARE packages to the military here.

Thank you for the post and pings. This is a great idea. Passing it on to my neighborhood library. We have a paperback exchange and extras usually go to area nursing homes or 'literacy' book sales.
Let's get these people some books. Not only are they being shot at on our behalf, but it's 120 degrees over there and Iraq is notoriously devoid of nightlife.
It's not very expensive. Just put your book in an envelope and send it to:
CPT David Spencer
Task Force 1-63 Armor
c/o 173rd Airborne Brigade
APO AE 09347

See Michael's #1. Domestic enemies are intentionally undermining morale of the troops by sending Michael Moore and Al Franken.
Although, Michael Moore TP could be a morale booster.

If you want on or off my Pro-Coalition ping list, please Freepmail me. Warning: it is a high volume ping list on good days. (Most days are good days).

Let's do what we can to send them some worthwhile reading material! I am starting with: 'Mere Christianity' by C. S. Lewis
Troops also want magazines for reading material! Cars, sports, hunting, fishing, even if they're old, are welcome. Any kind of reading material that reminds them of home.
Probably exclude "girlie" magazines, though. We don't want any politically-incorrect reading material sent where some media person could use it to bash our troops. And no leftist fishwrap, unless we hear that the troops are desperate for a good laugh.

They also like Readers Digest!
You can get a lot of those into a box. We are sending a bunch we've collected to friend of ours who is flying missions over there. He passes them around. :o)
To: AntiJen
Thanks for posting this AntiJen! I emailed EVERYONE in my address book and asked that each one write just one letter to a soldier listed on the Forgotten Soldier website.

I have almost every
Reader's Digest since 1976. Do you think they would have an interest in, say, all the 2003 issues?
I also have lots of romance novels (reading I no longer have time for since finding FReepers - lol). Would those be appropriate?
And I have Hell to Pay, Shakedown and other conservative books that I guess I could bring myself to let go of.
