Why don't you just divorce Terri and turn over guardianship to her parents? Get on with your own life with you new love?

One of MS attorneys is Scott Swope--an estate planner. Better question would be to ask how large Terri's estate is, and who would be the beneficiary. With Terri now qualified for Medicaid, money is sheltered in someone else's name--bet on it.

Michael, why do have you often prohibited Terri's parents from seeing her?
Why have you prohibited Terri's priest from visiting her?
Why did it take you ten years to remember that Terri told you she "wouldn't want to live this way"?
Where has the $700,000 earmarked for Terri's therapy gone?

Mr. Schiavo,
How come you reportedly destroyed legal medical records and nurse's notes over a 10 year period as was reported in affidavits from those Medical Professionals who cared for Terri in the nursing home where she lived? Why would those Medical Professionals lie on oath? What would they gain from that?

For the same reason that he won't sue Terri's parents for their comments...it would generate way more legal scrutiny than he (and the "noble" attorney) could bear.

Question for anybody: Which would you rather experience, Terri's life or the afterlife? (Not my question - another freeper asked that one - but I think it is a good question.)

Which would you rather experience, Terri's life or the afterlife? ... - but I think it is a good question.

Why not ask the question of yourself? Which would you prefer, your life or the afterlife? Does that mean you should go and off yourself?

I'm disabled. And I'm excited about the afterlife. And also excited about the remaining years that I'm given here on this old world of ours. Just because someone is disabled doesn't make it right to take their life before their time with the excuse that they'll 'be so much better off with the angels'. By your thinking, everyone should off themselves to have 'the afterlife'.

And no, I'm not trying to be a jerk here. Just pointing out the flaws I believe the poster you referred to made.

First of all, my life is not like Terri's (the court was satisfied that she is essentially brain dead).

However, if I was conscious and had to live as Terri has lived for the last 13 years, I would not choose that (as my living will states). That would certainly be torture beyond reason.

The "afterlife" means something different to each individual. To me it means the spiritual Universe of God's creating. That is certainly more disirable than this seemingly flawed, mortal, material universe that human consciousness brings us.

Does that mean you should go and off yourself?>/i>

No. I do not think you can begin to live in God's Spritiaul Universe by simply killing yourself. As long as you have the means, you should try to learn and grow towards the spiritual reality that God has created.

As the courts have decided, it does not appear that Terri has the means to learn or grow any further in this earthly environment - it seems past time to let her move on to whatever is next for her.

Rest easy. George Felos has told us Terri is not conscious.
