Huge sheet of orange flame leeping into the area a mile wide and 40-50 feet high and twisting into the sky -- coming over the last ridge into the Chatsworth area -- Indian Oaks, apartments, condo area -- police going through giving the residents a last shot to get out of there -- locations is north of the 118 along Topanga Canyon. Some of the firefighters back in one of the complexes have opened up the fire hydrants that feed the engines at the other end of the complex. They are calling it a firestorm condition -- still at the top of the hill but the largest fire into the sky he has seen today. Saying it looks like the Waterman Canyon fire. Last few minutes the flames have kicked up higher then they have before.
People are driving out of this area now -- more then he has seen lately. Waited until the last possible moment to leave. Indian Oaks at Chatsworth -- flames are really kicking up right now according to the on-site report. Orange flames leaping into the air and are the closest to homes that they have been all day in LA County.

-- locations is north of the 118 along Topanga Canyon. Not to be picky, but Topanga Canyon Blvd (Hwy 27) is south of 118, and Topanga Canyon itself is much farther away.
