East Lake is in Chula Vista. San Carlos is on the south side of Hwy 52 near Mission Trails Park. East Lake is the Otay fire, San Carlos is part of the Cedar fire.

in listening to the scanner..unless you know the immediate area they are talking about or they give a 10/20 in the broadcast it can be a tough call to relay the info. We will just hang out here together and support one another and send prayers to the fire fighters and others in harms way.

W, I'm trying to actually work in my office here, so I can't give constant updates . . . right now nothing but commercials . . . I don't even know where this Channel 10 is from - I'm guessing San Diego . . . I'm in PA and never been to CA . . .

I don't understand how to get this to show local info in san diego... please explain how to use this site... seems like a very good way to see what is happening. Go to the viewer page here. Then:
At the end, you'll get something like:
Feel free to Freepmail me if you need additional help (I may be going out for a while shortly, so I'll get back to you as soon as I can).
To: mo4bush
In the end it all boils down to poor management of the resources, g-d given, and monetary.
Our family has been evacuated from Lake Arrowhead and I know they have been VERY proactive about their own property.
However, the final responsibility is with the governor and his record of mismanagement.
Prayers to all in danger.

(simi fire - east flank)
the LAFD helispot has been moved to Rocketdyne...
if you are in that area, there will be an airforce overhead.
To: Conservative4Ever
Sister in Rancho Sante Fe (San Diego) just gave me an update via IM. Winds have died down considerably and they feel their area is no longer in danger. Prayers still going out for all other areas.
