Oliverio: Estranged wife caused hoax
His estranged wife misled the media into thinking he had pulled out of the race for governor, apparently to gain a measure of revenge in an impending divorce suit, Republican aspirant Joe Oliverio said Thursday. "War is hell, but it ain't nothing like a woman scorned, and you learn that when you get in a divorce suit," the Morgantown painting contractor said.
A flashy campaigner - known lately for riding the state in a Hummer with a Canadian timber wolf at his side - Oliverio has sparked controversy every mile of the way.
In one week, he called on Pennsylvania to sell Green and Washington counties to make way for a West Virginia road project, sold $10 raffle tickets to one of his two Hummers, and vowed to live on bread, water and fruit until Kroger Co. caves in to strikers. Then came a bombshell this week in a faxed message to the news media - a report Oliverio was calling it quits.
"She sent it," he said. "A woman scorned. I'm still in. I didn't know what was going on for two days."
Oliverio said he went to Charlotte, N.C., for a couple of days to sort out the personal trauma involving his wife of 24 years, and even attempted to reconcile matters with an invitation for lunch to a German restaurant.
"I bought a box of Russell Stover chocolates, too," he said. "Of course, I ate a couple of pieces. But money can't buy you love."
Oliverio said his wife didn't seem interested, so he instructed his attorney in Morgantown to start divorce proceedings. Apparently that led to the erroneous fax sent to the news media that he was giving up his quest of the governor's post.
"I still love her," he said of Rama, his wife. "The first time I saw her walking down the street, I said to myself, 'I'm going to marry her.'"
Oliverio said he planned to file on grounds of irreconcilable differences.

Russell Stover chocolates? How cheapo can you get? You're rightly embarrassed to have a candidate like that. Nothing less than Lindt chocolates would do for a reconciliation attempt.

Doesn't WV have any conservative GOP'ers that aren't embarrASSments? Besides, the turkey should have offered Godiva chocolates coupled with red roses (without the thorns) at the very least.
To: Xthe17th
It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
Wait, it's still funny...
What a loser.
To: lilylangtree
I'd like to give my ex those stale malted milk ball chocolates and rose stems with just the thorns left on 'em...
But that's just me.
To: lilylangtree
Yes, WV has some very fine conservative leaders that are up and coming.

I bought a box of Russell Stover chocolates, too," he said. "Of course, I ate a couple of pieces. The worst thing about this guy is that he doesn't even know he is tacky.
Clueless. Completely clueless.
West Virginia can do better then this.

I'm confused. Is he talking about his wife and thinking of the Timber Wolf?

irreconcilable differences.
* *** ****
Just FYI, in no fault divorce it is ALWAYS irreconcilable differences. The only evidence required is that the petitioner raise their right hand and testify under oath that the differences are irreconcilable and nothing can be done to change the situation.
There is nothing else to petition under the law. Stating a petition is for irreconcilable differences is like acting surprised that the petition is using words.

Doesn't WV have any conservative GOP'ers that aren't embarrASSments? Yes, we do. We even have one or two conservative, intelligent people running for governor (including my choice, Rob Capehart), but for some reason, every other nut in the state also seems to have decided to run for gov. as a Republican this year. Oliverio is certifiable.
To: Xthe17th
And then he ate some of the chocolates?!? Looooooser!
To: Xthe17th
Yes he's embarassing. Poor Mike Oliverio continues to wonder if voter's think they are one in the same. Mike is a Dem and lives in Morgantown but he has republican values.

West Virginia will not have a 1st Lady, when "OUR" candidate "JoeyO" takes office.

Morgantown, WV 26505
All responses will be held in the strictest confidence and read only by Joey O! Never to be viewed by anyone but Joseph A Oliverio II.
Joseph Oliverio does not discriminate against race, religion, but sorry boys does on the sex thing. Married women, unless you are getting a divorce need not apply.

Sheesh.
To: EternalVigilance; Xthe17th
We in the news media see Joey O. as beneficial in two ways - he's always doing something stupid, so there's something to write about, and when he visits newsrooms he brings his mother's pepperoni rolls as gifts.
