Well, I know of one Houston cop who's a good shot. He managed to shoot himself in the leg while cleaning his gun! I know this is true--because I know him.

Don't you have to take the bullets out to clean it? Sounds more like he had his finger on the trigger when un-holstering or holstering.

I know of one cop who shot another cop in the leg. In the back room of a strip club (20 years ago). Officially, they were comparing firearms (different departments) and there was an accidental discharge (can't trust them guns) They were really having a quick-draw contest. Likker was involved.

The Ft Bend deputy constable who taught my course had blown half his foot off with a shot gun. It happens that the former Houston policeman who failed the shooting test was also his dad, so I’m sure after the rest of us left that he managed to pass!!
