I've detached out of here once so far, to the Med to support Operation Enduring Freedom. Probably be going back in a few weeks or so.

Yeah, in my idea, the place would be owned by a retired Colonel, and staffed by his old comrades and their women.
The hook is, they'd all be mercenaries, ready to work if hired and the bar would be their "place of business".
I envisioned things like the cook being a Frenchman (who is ex-Foriegn Legion) and the bouncer being a huge, 300-lb Russian who was Spetznaz. The bartender would be a Brit, a Sargeant-Major from the SAS.
Only current and retired Servicemen would hang out there, always ready to help out.

I once did see the Northern lights, and If I recall it was indeed while I was in Iceland during my winter tour there. It is indeed an awesome sight!!!!:-)
