FYI,It is not common practice to do blood work when women are having trouble getting pregnant. I went through four years of Specailists and infertitliy docs. Not one drew blood until I was pregnant. I know many women who go through infertitly tests , no one has had blood taken to find the root cause of not getting preganant. I have often questioned why the docs didn't fight that.

but how long ago was that, they do bloodwork to check hormones levels and to determine disorder that causes thick blood, and can cause miscarriages. I know someone who had this and had to take blood thinner through the majority of the pregnancy so the placenta could be fed...

kind of off topic to the thread but FWIW

If the plaintiff looks pitiful enough, it doesn't matter whether the defendant had anything whatsoever to do with the plaintiff's condition.

I agree, No More Gore. It isn't general practice, but if you have good attorneys and a sympathetic jury, you can win based on theory alone. It doesn't matter if it is common practice or not. What matters is whether or not you can get a jury to THINK it SHOULD have been done.

BTW, congratulations on your success! I have a friend who is in the beginning phases of invitro fertilization. She's been trying for approx. 8 years to conceive on her own and, for the past two years, with fertility treatments.
