Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Joe Lieberman, recently heckled during a speech before a largely Arab-American audience, implied that the Bush administration should punish a top Army general who said a Muslim terrorist worships a false "idol."
Mr. Lieberman told the Associated Press that Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin contributed to a "global theological conflict" that will only further inflame terrorists' hatred for the United States.

We have become accustomed to the madness represented by the criticism of the general and many defend it as only fa-a-a-a-air and besides we don't want to make the situation worse. Worse?!!!
Shaking off this madness and stoutly defending against the threats to the general and our military is in no way a light and transient cause.
In fact, it may determine if we have the will to win these wars -- the inner war to defend against the madness represented by Mr. Lieberman's remarks and the big war to defend against radical Islam.
It's not a shooting civil war (the inner war) yet but you can see it from here. This war will not be between the states but more between states of mind. Between us and those who make excuses and even cheer for our Republic's enemies.
