Who are you to say that they are not as good. The bulbs when I was a kid were real light bulbs. Not those low watt 40's or 60's with soft glow. And just what is this sissy stuff with lighting consultants. When I was a kid we just climbed the ladder and changed the bulb and it was up the ladder both ways, in 4 foot of snow barefoot. We were grateful that we even had a socket even when the electricity was turned off.
