Deporting the scum that hired the illegals would also seem fitting. >>>>>>
No, just FINE the he** out of the employers (we need the money), but I'm all for deporting our POLITICIANS that refuse to enforce our immigration laws.

300 workers at 61 Walmarts? Have you tried to find someone to help lately in these stores? That's almost 5 a piece! No way lol

Sorry, deportation is not the appropriate punishment for such creatures.

I hope they realise there's an election coming - I'm watching mine. Anyone of the traitors that vote for amnesty or other foolishness - they get a bullseye.
BOYCOTT WALMART!!!!

This pleases my very being.
Well at least insomuch as it doesn't put a crimp on my access to cheap labor needed to do menial tasks such as lawn work, cooking and cleaning. If it was to affect my access to these services I would very likely have a differing opinion.

Glaringly absent from the list is California.
Apparently, our reputation precludes anyone wasting their time in a state that takes pride in protecting illegals rather than the nation's borders.
Of course, the nation's borders are a federal issue, but CA could at least pretend to be interested in protecting the borders.

**The individuals picked up in the immigration sweep could face deportation proceedings, sources said.**
Will this happen in other businesses?? Farms??

I do not hold the majority view here about undocumented workers. Why is it that folks who share your opinion refuse to use the term "illegal alien"?

Yep, another emotive response from the heart.
I am not saying that hiring illegal aliens is OK, I am not saying that the employer should not be held accountable, I am saying that the employer is the unnamed contractor. If Walmart is directly hiring illegal aliens, then they too should be investigated and the appropriate actions should take place. Of course that goes for EVERY company, not just Walmart!
Did you ever think that maybe this situation is caused because the American policies, both private unions and the government have priced their own labor out of the market? The unions demand a wage higher than what the store can pass on to the customer, the government taxes the crap out of all business, then demands a minimal amount of compensation to all employees. The customer will buy a product only when that product is worth the cash they will spend. These impositions on the market by the Government and Unions have artificially inflated the prices of these products and now the customer is finding alternative places to procure the product.
By your responses on this thread I can see that you support these impositions on the market that have driven the prices of products up. Then you call me a Konservative!

Yeah, the 5K was not my figure, I think it's WAY low.
Doesn't look like our gov't will ever get half (?) our illegals deported, so why make any plans ??

Ellis -
(I do not hold the majority view here about undocumented workers. I'm sorry, I just can't.)The following is just a small sample of what your tacit approval of "undocumented workers" perpetuates:
More coyotes go into the people smuggling business
More abuses of illegal aliens on both sides of the border
The ongoing breakdown of the U.S. being a nation of laws
Cramming people into houses/apartments in violation of zoning laws
Giving slum lords more "customers"
Higher crime rates
People coming into this country with communicable diseases
The further overcrowding of our schools
The over-burdening our healthcare systems
More and more social services needed at the citizens' expense
Higher crimes rates
More and more identity fraud
Damage to the environment
More wear and tear on our infrastructure
More voter fraud
More new gang members
And the list goes on.

I'm so sick of this sh*t... And I am saying it's your freaking federal government that is at the root of this nation wide epic lawlessness! Lets get down to who the real bad guy here.
Who's job is it to secure our borders and protect our sovereignty? Have they done their job? Do they have any intention of doing their job?
What the hell are we paying taxes for if the Federal Government isn't even doing their job?
