What a cut by Giambi. Seems to me he'd have much better success if he didn't swing so hard. The Marlin hitters just seem to flick the bat late, and get hit after hit through the hole between 2nd and 1st. All those righties, plus all those identical-looking hits...it's like watching a play on videotape over and over again. Pudge alone must have had the exact same hit about six or seven times this postseason. They hit to the opposite field more than any other team in the playoffs this year.

I thought Giambi was going to either end up on his tush or drill himself into the ground with that swing, but he didn't wait for his ball.

And Contreras walks the one guy you don't want on base to lead off an inning. I still think Mo should have come in. Preventing a walkoff run is more important than worrying about a game going 15 innings, in the playoffs. If Mo goes two, and the Yankees don't score, well, at least they had those two innings to try to score. I guess it's easy to manage from home, but putting in your closer in a tie game is certainly not unusual.
