Preventing a walkoff run is more important than worrying about a game going 15 innings, in the playoffs. If Mo goes two, and the Yankees don't score, well, at least they had those two innings to try to score. I guess it's easy to manage from home, but putting in your closer in a tie game is certainly not unusual.
