CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio -- The Orange Village police chief spent two nights in jail after reportedly hitting his wife during an argument.
The argument Saturday reportedly was over whether he should drink beer or finish painting the house.
Chief Christopher Kostura, 45, denied hitting his wife, but she told officials he hit her "upside the head."
Kostura said he drank three beers and his wife got upset that he wasn't painting. His blood alcohol level was .077 percent.
He pleaded not guilty to domestic violence in court Monday. A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 4. Kostura was placed on administrative leave, pending an investigation.

There's an advertising campaign going on in my region, "Commit domestic abuse, lose your guns," or something to that effect. Will this Barney Fife lose his guns, I wonder?

Never really saw the two as mutually exclusiveThey're not...although my house now looks like a giant can of Busch laying on it's side.
Quite attractive, I must say.

Date: 13th century transitive senses 1 a (1) : to apply color, pigment, or paint to It surely looks as though it is used as a noun here.
To: Old Professer
Sure. It can be used as a noun or verb. If I used it as a verb, then didn't I use it correctly. If I used it as a noun, I would be drinking it!

He's a police chief? Not for very long if he is convicted of domestic violence. I think it is the Federal Violence Against Women act that prohibits anyone convicted of even misdemeanor domestic viloence from owning a handgun. Also if she pulls a restraining order on him, he also cannot posess a gun.

Maybe
this story has caused police departments to be a bit jumpy about police chiefs (or any of its members) and claims of domestic violence. Also, there may be more to this story that his pals in the force are aware of and the press isn't. They took his gun from him. See
this story.

The argument Saturday reportedly was over whether he should drink beer or finish painting the house. Gee I wonder who took what side.
