These 'snippets' of your life that you share with us make me smile LadyX.
Thank you (-:
If I could wish for one extra thing for my children (aside from all the usual a mom would hope for) it would be for them to be able to travel and see the world. I really believe they will.
Saying goodnight now (have to sign off soon)
To: Billie
I try hard to get the pot going first thing in the morning. Sometimes the thread is not up before I have to sign off until after lunch. It will soon start to get colder then a good cup of hot cocoa would be nice in the evenings.

Keego Harbor???? Where is that???? (Sounds lovely) Well, there's not much to it (2700 population). Not much about it online, either. Here is a picture of our Memorial Rock, anyway. :-)

Good night!
I'll check in tomorrow to see what John has to say. Lookin forward to it, I also have a picture I want to post for everyone.

Population 2,700. Those are the best. We both are "small town people"...and hope some day to retire in a "small town" northern michigan. BUT...is Keego Harbor Lake Michigan, Lake Huron...what part of Michigan?

Good night, dutchess.
Am remembering you and Mr. D and your parents in prayers. It's been quite a few months for you. May the days ahead be ones of peace and joy.

"BUT...is Keego Harbor Lake Michigan, Lake Huron...what part of Michigan?"
It's in "The Lakes" area of Oakland county, about 20 miles north of Detroit and 2 miles west of Pontiac. It's sandwiched in between Cass and Sylvan lakes, both of which are large enough for water sports. There is no "harbor" per se, unless you count tiny Dollar Lake, with its canal to Cass Lake, as a harbor, as the person who originally named it did.
Keego Harbor, charming as it is, is actually the "low rent" district in the Lakes area. It is surrounded by the cities of Orchard Lake and Sylvan Lake and West Bloomfield Township, with their homes ranging from $200,000 to well over a million. In Keego Harbor, you can still buy a trailer for around $20,000 in the mobil home park. :-)
