Thanks for the post. It's useful to see what the lefties are publishing. Why would they publish it now? It hit the fan six weeks ago. Maybe the Guardian is hard up for Bush hit pieces.

Of course, the person who outed dear Valerie with the bushy bobbed blonde hair and winsome smile was her husband, on his web site, and good old Bob Novak. All the source told Novak in a party discussion was that Wilson got his little vacation in Niger (and isn't it too bad he wasn't offed...) through his wife's contacts at CIA.

The "senior administration official" didn't have to tell any of the reporters what her name was -- they all knew from the party circuit. The SAO probably knew that she worked for the CIA, but not that she was a NOC. And that lets them off the hook, since they have to know she was a NOC to be liable. Assuming of course that she was still a NOC -- no one has claimed that yet.

We still don't know who the six reporters are, do we? Andrea Mitchell I think, and a Newsday guy. Who else? So these six and Novak know who did this -- can they keep it their secret for very long?

This has died down a bit now it seems. Good.

Julian Borger talks exclusively to the man who may have started a new Watergate

They wish. IMHO, this story is already almost as dead as Enron. They tried, and it just didn't work. Most American media have now virtually dropped it.

For those who may not have been around when Watergate broke, the press NEVER RELENTED. There were full page headlines in the NY Times and the Washington ComPost for week after week. No other news came out. That's hardly the case with this. Actually, they tried harder with the Enron scandal, but that didn't work either. Bigger headlines, more repetition, but they just couldn't pin it on Bush.

By Nov 10 ( my beloved Marine Corps's birthday) this whole 'scandal' will be a vague memory. Why? Because there NEVER was anything to begin with.
