This is a horrid headline. The insensitivity of the AP is beyond the pale.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed that.

Yep. It's to the point but pretty crass.

At least they used the term brain-damaged instead of comatose or vegetative.

It is the first time they have used the honest term "brain damaged", instead of comatose or vegetative (inaccurate terms in this case). Sounds to me like they are listening to all their emails - or maybe reading FR.

Yep. They want us to think poor Terri Schiavo was in agony and just begging, BEGGING! to be left to die, and that big, bad, mean old Jeb Bush jammed the tube back in her arm (or whatever) and prolonged her mortal agony, dragging her back to the world of the living against her wishes.
BULL BUTTER!

Bob Dole was one of the few politicians who complained publicly about the AP. At least ol' Bob got that right.

This is a horrid headline. The insensitivity of the AP is beyond the pale. There, there, onyx. Let's be charitable. We have evidence here that the AP may be projecting. Look at their misspelling of "receiving" in their headline. In their HEADLINE. Is this now the way mainstream media takes care in protecting its professional reputation to the world? They can't even get the mechanics of publishing straight? LOL.
Looks like the AP's (or ABCnews.go.com's) own share of brain-damage runs even deeper than we feared.
