Judge Greer has not obeyed the law. If Judge Greer wrote an order that Michael Moore should be shot, would you want the governor to just let it happen?

I believe that once all becomes known, Judge Greer will have been found guilty of conspiracy to commit embezzlement, and subsequently found guilty of conspiracy to attempt murder.

How about the lawmakers, i.e., the legislators in Tallahassee who passed the bill referred to above? Do they cut any ice with you? Or are Judges now in charge of making the law?

In the event that you missed it, it was the law makers, the legislature, that passed the legislation giving the Governor the authority to intervene.

I guess this means the laws of the land ...... mean nothing

Actually, just the opposite.

Didn't you read the post? There is a new Florida law, signed today.

A law passed by a legislature.....not dictated by judicial fiat. Wow, what a novel idea!

The law of the land (Florida) is what the Governor was upholding. Judges are not omnipotent, at least that's what the duly elected legislature in the state of Florida said.

Uh, this is NOW the law of the land. Laws change, and we like that. We like that laws are not static for hundreds of years, but can be changed as the circumstances warrant. the ability of the legislature and the governor to pass laws and to correct laws, and to change laws is a good thing.

When the voice and judgement of the law of the land and the judges who uphold them permit state-sanctioned murder, then yes, they do mean nothing, and they should.

If a new law overturns or changes a prior law which was the basis for a court's decision, the court's decision is legally void. Legislatures, not judges, make the laws. Are you saying that legislative repeal or modification of an existing law means that the laws of the land mean nothing?

I assume Hitler would have gotten your vote, since he did have all the proper jurisdiction as Chancellor when he started up his concentration camps.

Was that a little over the top??? :)

I guess this means that you and your wife don't know the diference between right and wrong. Just because a judge orders it does not make it right.

The court order that was effectively to put this woman to death was wrong. Those who would hide behind it are cowards.

Don't worry, if you're lucky, they'll find in her husband's favor and Terri can starve to death again. Then *justice* will be done, no?????

The Legislature changed the law in response to public input. That's the way the system is supposed to work. Do you have a problem with that, or were you just hoping that she would be left to die?

Obviously you don't realize that a lot of judges---too many of them--- are making laws rather than upholding them.

By the way, I don't think Jeb will need your vote after what he has done of behalf of Terri and her family. Moreover, with your attitude, he probably wouldn't want it anyway.

Understand something, buddy: judges do not make the law. The people make the law through their elected representatives. The people, through their elected representatives, changed the law tonight. Do you understand that the people's will expressed through the legislative process is superior to the whims of a judge, or are you already a slave in mind if not in body?
