Currently in Kansas, there is a case being heard. The ACLU is defending a man who got 17 years for having sex with a 14 year old boy. (He was 18 at the time.)

At first, I couldn't understand why the penalty was so much stiffer (no pun intended) if the victim was male versus female. (For a female victim, the sentence would have been 18 months.)

Then I found out that this is the third offense for the perp. I also found out that the ACLU is trying to use this case to claim that it is unconstitutional to forbid sex between an adult and a child as young as 13.

I sure hope this effort by the ACLU falls flat on its face.

If this case makes it to the US Supreme Court...don't expect former ACLU associate
Justice Ginsburg to recuse herself.
Only Republicans/Conservatives are biased when it comes to major constitutional cases,
don't ya know...
