Now CBS is going after Reagan with their made-for-TV movie starring Babs' husband.
I think we have our work cut out for us.
CBS is sticking it in our face!

Now CBS is going after Reagan with their made-for-TV movie starring Babs' husband. I just saw that on Drudge and came over here to mention it as well. Boy, reading that story got my ire up. I would be willing to participate in a preemptive boycott - that is, get the word out to all potential sponsers that they will be boycotted if they run commercials during this movie. I don't think we can wait until after the fact. We have the right to choose where we spend our money and I will not be spending it on any product or service that associates itself with the smear of a great man.

I really think we need to be proactive. CBS is the absolute worst - they rival CNN. I sometimes hear the CBS headlines on the radio on the way to work and they consistently start their news update with bad news about the war. We had the outrageous homeschooling story and now this movie on Reagan. Not to mention Rather every night.
I checked and www.boycottcbs.org is available. We could have it up in running in 24 hours for about 15 bucks and 5 bucks a month on verve hosting. I would be willing to spring for the cost of the site and participate on a development and maintenance team. I wonder if any webmaster Freepers would want to manage it or other freepers would want to participate in the development? I know how to code but I don't think it is something I could adequately maintain on my own. Putting a team of freepers on it (of which I would happily be one) would be the most efficient and effective way to set it up.
I envision the site would:
- 1) Document the outrageous bias, evidences of their left wing agenda.
- 2) Provide context and correct to errors and outright lies in their stories.
- 3) Provide sponser information to facilitate boycotts and contact.
- 4) Discussion boards, reader reports, chat etc
I know there are other sites out there that chronicle Rather's bias but this site would be specifically event driven with the mission of correcting errors, exposing lies and bringing financial pressure to CBS as a way to hold them accoutable to the truth.
Thoughts? Like I said, if we get a group together, we could be live in 24 hours.

Now we know why Babs was smirking when Oprah asked her about her husband playing RR in this movie.
Smirk away, BS, but you're still ugly.

I'm done with them. My wife and I watched and episode of "Cold Case" Sunday evening. It was about a very pious and outwardly "christian" family eaten up with adultry and eventually a viscous murder as well as a cover-up for 13 years. I can't in my wildest dreams seeing them displaying this exact same story but with a different ethnicity and/or religion. They even displayed a cross hanging on the wall in the background during the recreation of the murder.
By the way, this new show is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer - the creator of other CBS products CSI and "Without a Trace".
