Marmema, if the vote is passed tomorrow, what happens in the 15 days? If she is going to have to go back through this in 15 days, I would be praying differently.

"The Senate intends to discuss at 9:00AM what to do with unclaimed lottery money"

Give the lottery money to Michael, and buy him and Jodi a chateau in the south of France.
ANYTHING to get him the H*** away from Terri.

Don't get to use that word much, but it does seem to work in this case.

Not to worry. The 15 day thing only means he must implement the stay within 15 days. The stay is as long as he wants it to be. Forever, if he wants.

Finally a network gets it. Just heard on CBS radio referring to what was happening to Terri as "a starving death".

Better late than never, I guess.

Thanks. I had misread it earlier. The summary provided also seems to be wrong.

SENATE SUMMARY
Authorizes the Governor to issue a one-time stay to prevent the withholding of nutrition and hydration under specified circumstances. Provides for the stay to expire 15 days after the effective date of the act. Authorizes the Governor to lift the stay at any time. Provides that a person is not civilly liable and is not subject to regulatory or disciplinary sanctions for taking an action in compliance with any such stay.

Good night, and THANKS!

This is the first good night in an awful long time, it seems.

Prayers for Senatorial wisdom in a few hours.

Prayers for Terri to hang on for a little longer.

Please God, give her Your Strength tonight. And let her angel keep guard over her.

"America loves a winner. And will not tolerate a loser." - George Patton

There is a lesson in that statement. People tend to defend whoever is winning or whoever wins a point. If they had failed to vote to give Jeb the power CBS would not have said "starving death" they would have used a milder euphamism.

I think a lot of people here think she can be starved again in a couple of weeks. After reading your post I re-read the bill.

It looks like she'll be fairly safe if she can just hang on for another six hours.
