This is so fantastic! People are voting with there wallets. I am so happy to see that Sean Penn and Tim Robbins will not be supported with the public's entertainment dollars.
It's a new day; we're winning.

Its one of those movies that Hollywood loves- showing the darkside of small town, 'real' America. Hollywood likes to belive that America is as foul as their own personal imaginations.

I hate to say that my wife and her friend were among the audience. We husbands wouldn't give a nickle to see those pukes.

Good....you couldn't pay me enough money to see this movie.
In fact we had an opportunity to see it last night and passed it up d/t mainly Sean Penn being in it. It was the only movie that was compatible with the time we could swing and still get the babysitter home on time.
On top of that I had a free movie last night at this particular theater because it was my birthday. We decided to go home early and watched a DVD instead.

Tremendous acting, awful story morality. I don't like the politics of at least two of the actors, but ho! boy! they are good at their craft.

Sean Penn is a good actor and Clint Eastwood is a great director. So I'm seeing it, even if Penn is a traitor.

I wasn't even aware Tim Robbins was in it....all the more reason I was glad I skipped it.

This wife talked her husband out of it. Instead we opted for a nice dinner in Old Town Alexandria. It turned into a beautiful evening! Screw hollyweird.

The Shawshank Redemption was on this weekend (Stephen King book made to movie). Much as I love Stephen King's work, I couldn't get past the first 90 seconds of Tim Robbin. Yech. What a puke. And that old bag that looks like his mother that he shacks up with. YEECHH double barf alert.

Politics aside, was the movie good? The previews looked riveting. I may see it. I may not.

Huh? $10 mil not that bad, considering that it is in less theatres than the other top 5. Runaway Jury making $12mil in twice as many theatres, now that a bad total.

How can there be a "Chill Wind" when all that comes out of Whollywierd is hot air?
This is another piece of tripe I won't be seeing either.

What? With who? Never heard of em.
As long as people contiune to support Hollywood we will have to listen to all of their garbage. There are better things to do with my time to sit in some theater with a sticky floor watching people on a big screen that have no idea what real life is like.
