Those who stand Vigil have asked that a Prayer Thread for Terri Schiavo be started for any wishing to comfort and encourage Terri's family and friends and those who have labored on her behalf. Another Vigil will be held at 1:00 p.m. today at the Woodside Hospice, and another will be held at 3:00 p.m. today in front of the White House, through the efforts of an organization for the disabled.

One of our traveling FReepers is now at the Vigil and has met with Terri's family and speaks of their enormous grief. Terri's mom has been given some lotion, which she will use to tend Terri's feet. Prayers posted will be printed and given to Bob and Mary Schindler and their son and daughter ~ may they find some measure of comfort in our words.

Thanks for posting that photo, Cincin's Wife ~ every time I see it, I have to touch her ~ this mother's grief is beyond comprehension.

Heavenly Father, we implore You that this Special Session will be the end to Terri's suffering. Work in each heart that determines the fate of the Florida citizenry ~ may there be such a sense of shame ~ may there be a realization that such travesty has been visited upon its good people ~ I pray, Father, that Terri's Bill passes immediately and that she is the first to benefit from its passage.

She is slipping, Heavenly Father ~ preserve her life and preserve her spirit ... be for her this night the food and water that she needs. We are a people most cruel and we pray for forgiveness ~ do not lay our sins upon this defenseless woman, but bring her out of this torment and into the sunshine of her family's love, in the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

As we draw away for a few hours rest, may God give an extra measure of strength to those still laboring ~ to those who will rise early to continue the fight, may God give confidence in his Providence ~ to those who watch over Terri tonight, may God give her strength and sustenance through them ~ to those who sleep undisturbed while their handiwork lies dying amid armed guards, may God quicken their conscience and may they repent ~ such is his love for each of us.

FYI ~ George J. Felos was listed as a member of the Board of Directors for the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, according to becki-snow.blogspot.com ..

James King, Senate President, is now a member of the Florida Hospice Board of Directors. George Felos, attorney for Michael Schiavo, was on the Board at the time Terri was moved to Woodside Hospice, but has since resigned. Now James King is on the board, and I read where he will not allow Terri's Bill to be debated? Something doesn't look right here ... does this explain King's statement that he will not consider the Bill?

I've e-mailed Johnnie Byrd, who will introduce Terri's bill, and I've e-mailed James King, noting the connection. Pray without ceasing ...

Heavenly Father, the hour is fast approaching when those in authority in Florida will consider "Terri's Bill" ~ we pray that the Spirit of God will descent mightily upon each one who is charged with the protection of its citizens.

Even as some have worked through the night, we've seen that so much surrounds Terri that would hinder her release from the prison decreed by her husband. Lord, I pray that You have ministered to her through the night, enabling her to carry on. We breathe into her a fierceness and a determination that she will prevail.

Father, the forces of darkness gather again through connections of men in power. So great is this stronghold that we cannot enter ... but You can. You can go where we cannot ... You can do what we cannot ... we can't even begin to know how You have worked in Terri's life. We offer You praise for Your presence, and ask that You will overrule any stubborness in the hearts of these legislators ~ may it be overwhelming that Terri's Bill will come to the forefront and be passed with haste. She waits to be free ~ she waits for drink and nourishment ~ Father, set her free upon solid rock, in the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that You have yet given Terri another day of hope. We join in earnest prayer that this will be the day of vindication ~ that already everything is in place that will release her from this prison.

Heavenly Father, sustain this dear child unto the hour of her release ~ may there be a wellspring of Living Water that refreshes her at this hour ~ may there be that Manna from Heaven that feeds her soul. Grant that her great heart continues to beat with hope and confidence, and may You, great and mighty God, move in the affairs of men, even at this very hour, to protect the least of these, our brethren.

She is condemnded, but not guilty of crime ~ she is punished, but not guilty ~ she suffers at the hands of men but continues in strength that comes only from You, for she cannot rely on the food and drink from others.

We bow in abject poverty and shame that our people suffer so ~ we acknowledge that the Merchants of Death are on the American doorstep ~ we plead, Heavenly Father, that You will stand in the doorway and strike down the enemy, lest we perish.

Soften the hearts of mortal men in the chambers of law today, Father ~ bring forth the name of Terri's Law before the people ~ we cry out for justice for this mother's child ~ act on her behalf, Father, lest we grieve a grief that wrecks our national soul ~ O God, give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors ~ lest we perish, Lord, lest Your people perish.

Pegita, I will need help here. This is spiritual warfare over Terri. God has called us in one heart to repentance to save Terri. I know in my mind the following, and I know it is necessary for God to hear it from me and a lot of others. I CHOKE on it, yet, as Paul said he was the greatest of sinners; if that is true, then I am in heap big trouble. I know I have to take the beam out of my own eye, and I know I have to forgive to be forgiven, but you are much better at putting things into words than I am. Here is God's word:

Help me with a word of prayer. I forgive these people, for I know God wants all to come to repentance and to be saved. I forgive them, and pray they would find it in their hearts to let Terri go. I will pray and then make more calls for Terri:

Heavenly Father, thank You that You remember our frame, that You remember that we are dust, and that You are a forgiving and loving God. Lord, we come to You in repentance, for we have not loved as You would love, and we have not forgiven as You have forgiven. Father, though not yet a wellspring of love springs forth, yet in obedience to Your word, we echo Your words ~ Father, forgive them, for they know now what they do.

We pray that those who inflict this horrible pain upon Terri will come face to face with Your saving grace ~ Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you WILL be saved, you and your household (Acts 16:30). You are not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Him that believeth in me, I will in no wise cast out (John 6:37). Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3). If our lips have not said the sinner's prayer ~ Lord have mercy on me, a sinner, and save me, for Jesus sake ~ may they be said now, for the gift of God is eternal life.

Take this tiny seed of faith, Father, and multiply it over and over again, that frail as we are, You will use us in ministry, that Your name would be honored and glorified throughout all eternity ... Amen
