The interesting part about this news is that Democratic Party officials are openly being seen supporting the licenses for illegals...

So illegals will try to stop business? Whos business? The African Americans? The Hispanic? The Aisan? The Caw-K Shun?

Remember they were forced AT GUN POINT into coming to this country to work.

Dirty Americans.

*childish sarcasm*

NEWS FLASH

Democratic Officials CONSPIRE with immegrants group to break the law.

About 150 members of Hermandad Mexicana Latinoamericana, a Santa Ana-based immigrants advocacy group, were joined by Democratic officials at the group's national conference to devise strategies to protect the controversial law.

Along with work stoppages, the group intends to designate days on which supporters will not make purchases at stores or send their children to school.

Futher more...If they are caught without the drivers license does that mean they are immune to California Law in regards to being fined, jailed, and so on? Will the drivers license be different from a citizens? Most use dead American SS numbers...isn't that against the law?

Why are they immune from the laws of this country and you and I are not?

Huh??

Please don't stop there. Illegals ought to boycott sneaking into the United States. This way, everyone wins.

Nativo Lopez, Wasen't he recalled from his local school board by about 70% of the voters?

Yes, the predominently Hispanic turnout wasn't happy with his trying to force bilingual ed down their throats and tossed his kiester out of office. And as I recall, his name at birth was "Larry" Lopez, which he later changed to something more "authentic." What an ass he is. The fact that he can continue to get quoted in press stories just shows what a lousy job the press does finding people who represent the actual voices of the Hispanic people here and not these self-appointed quote-unquote leaders.

they will stage work stoppages and other actions as part of a counteroffensive against a Republican effort to overturn the measure.

Let them! Maybe some out of work citizens can find wotk then! We had a group of day workers here in Chicago the dims pandered to. They were upset they were being moved from their am pickup location. The city went out of their way to set them up at a local Kmart parking lot right by the xpressway and they refused! They wanted thier Foster/Kedzie spot and that was that!

With every state around us giving lisenses to illegals, what difference does it make. They can go to Reno, get lisense then come here and get one. We need to be putting our efforts into bigger picture.

Rush used to talk about how people would get upset over the $2 ATM fee but not complain about high taxes. This is the same deal.

Private companies should be hired to find and get rid of illegals.

EXCELLENT idea! They could start in Santa Ana, California, illegal alien heaven. The government could pay these guys 50 bucks a head, they would be rich in a month.

This is too good to be true. Maybe they will do it everyday for the rest of their lives.

This will be a "target rich" environment for the (former) INS, or Homeland Security to scoop these invaders up and toss them firmly on their duffs in Mexico.

Sorry to disappoint you, but you're thinking logically instead of like a liberal. The illegals staged a massive protest here in the NY area a few weeks ago and the INS took a hands off policy. There were hundreds at Flushing Meadow park, perfect time for a mass deportation and nothing happened.

If the feds would just start enforcing the laws , including enforcing massive sanctions against businesses that employ illegals the border situation would be corrected overnight. Word would reach the turd-world that the US dormat immigration policy is over and the situation would correct itself. Dare to dream.

Isn't the American Border Patrol doing it for free?

Support them now and forward until the problem is gone. The idea of putting a $50 bounty on each one I find and get into deportation is wonderful Now we have to get the various city, state, county and state government to support getting them out.

Closing down businesses for a day for every illegal you bust them with would go a long way toward keeping them from being hired in the first place. Most businesses know that by the time data gets to the IRS/INS and inquiries get made, the "employee" has moved on to another job he is not entitled to have.

Uh, not very well, by the looks of things in Southern California.

Before you two get carried away on some notion of compromise, consider this.

There is no way to verify whether someone is illegal or not at a DMV site unless they answer truthfully to a direct question.

Now ask yourself if you believe these aliens who broke our nation's laws crossing the border would volunteer to tell the truth of their status at the DMV counter.

Then ask yourself how likely it is that vocal activists such as this Nativo fellow will organize a coaching for illegals on how to lie their way to a license and a voter's registration card at the sametime.

Does your compromise still sound practical?

Create The Department of Deportation.

Make Duane Dog Chapman the "Tom Ridge" of it.

This will get more results in one week than the govt gets in a year.

The whole problem with the current debate on II is that on one end you have spec ints that want to break any law and protect illegals at any cost. They want amnesty. This group includes Mexican racists as an accepted component.

The other end of the public debate features appeasers like McCain and gutless pols who want an 'incremental' amnesty, with easy requirements which is designed to hoodwink the people into apathy about the issue. Both positions lead to amnesty within a few years.

What is needed is a public group with weight that reflects the opinion of the citizens. Zero tolerance. Because no such group holds any political public voice, the discussion about illegals is biased toward appeasement.

The way we are going, there is no chance that the problem will be confronted. Its all about how we can make II easier for them.

So I dream about a private org that will do what the people want and the govt refuses to do.
