Could be because he has not pitched at all in the post-season and has had time to rest and practice his game.

When's Game 2? Maybe I'll have a clear schedule and be able to actually watch the whole thing...

Yeah, I like that Pierre kid. Rolling baseballs down the foul lines and such. Baseball is more that just steroids and moon shots.

Penny did great. Baffled Yankee hitters.
Just a good all-round game by the Marlins. Made no mistakes.
Better team than the Diamondbacks. Sorry, this crew is good.

Katie Couric is already blaming Bush for Yank's loss.

Godzilla was great. Wells did better than I expected. He was strong later than I thought he would be. This game was just game one. Torre is a masterful manager. This game was just a test for him.

Yeah, he earns his pay.
You look at guys like him, Pudge, Willis, Penny and of course Conine. Then you look at Jeter and Matsui.
I'll allow others to complete the circle.

Considering the job that the 72 year-old Florida manager has done with this team, I wonder if the suits in the Dodger front office will consider bringing Tommy Lasorda back?

Little did all the Yankee fans realize....
When the Marlins come to town:
The Bambino Rides a Pale Billygoat....
Marlins did what they had to do: take at least one in New York.
Marlins in six.

Godzilla seems to thrive in this environment. People may make light of his experience in Japan but, believe me, the stress of a championship series in Japan is just as much as anywhere else. He ain't afraid. His outfield play is as flawless and fierce as it is during the regular season.
Soriano sucks. Bump his butt to eighth.
