Your Red Sox would have rung up about 10 runs tonight off this Marlin pitching. Quite frankly, I think the Sox would have slaughtered this team...

"That reminds me. I don't recall many posts by you after Boone hit that home run... "
Or before, either. She got mighty confident after Posada tied the game. I was stunned. She kept asking from the bathroom what was going on. Turned out she was getting dolled up.
Comes out halfway through the ninth. Turned the TV on just after and right as Boone stepped into the box.
After a decent interval of high fiving and "jeez, wasn't that a double whammy?" we spent the rest of the night together uh, doing what married couples need to do more of.

I gather you are either a bitter cubbies or BoSox fan.

Heck no! My entire family is- everyone I know is. Do you really think we want a team not even 15 years old beating the team that has been our nemisis for over 80 years? Go Yankees! Semper, check it out.

"The only discipline I want to see is on television from the Yankee hitters. ;)"Funny, but now I'm picturing Giambi walking up to the plate in a pair of pumps and blonde wig...SO WRONG!

The Fish could be the under-appreciated team of the year (by the home fans).

The Red Sox would have had trouble with runners tagging up and advancing, or scoring from second on singles. I don't believe they have strong arms in the outfield. I don't know Varitek's percentage on throwing out runners attempting to steal second, either. That could have been a factor.

Bottom of the eighth. This is the inning the Yankees break out.

"Your Red Sox would have rung up about 10 runs tonight off this Marlin pitching. Quite frankly, I think the Sox would have slaughtered this team..." Yeah, and the dog would have caught the rabbit if it hadn't stopped to $hit.
There are two scoreboards. One is reading 3-2 marlins, the other is about to read 1-0 marlins. Nothing else matters.
