Amazing, eh... the TV rating for the NLCS and ALCS will be higher than for the World Series.

No one wanted to see those two loser teams in the World Series. Certainly not the Great Bambino.

Lol... even I'm gonna be flipping back and forth between the game and "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof" on my local PBS affiliate...

Funny how when someone's favorite team doesn't make it it suddenly becomes a ho-hum event.
I hope the North-East team loses big.

I'm with you. My Dodgers tanked and I didn't have a dog in this fight. And, I still do not like the Yankees.

I hope they both (somehow) get their butts kicked.

I did some research. The Red Sox have won 10 Pennants and 5 World Series in their history. This is statistically almost exactly what you would expect if championships were distributed randomly. In other words, you guys have had your share. Unfortunately, you'd have to be at least in your 90's to remember much of it.
The Red Sox were the 'Yankees' of the first decade and a half of the World Series. They won a third of the first 15 played. I'll bet those fans were just as obnoxious as Yankee fans are now.
If anyone has a right to whine, its Phillies fan. In 120 years, they won only five pennants and one World Series. They might have expected to win 13 pennants and 5 World Series in that time. Houston and Texas fans also have a combined 83 years without a pennant (although the first ten years or so with Texas were in Washington DC).

I don't know. I think it's pathetic how the two richest teams wound up in the World Series. I guess I could root for the Marlins just for Scenic, though.

There are apparently two threads going on this.
To: Senator Pardek
What I like about the Fish is that they are younger in a lot of positions than a College World Series team. That makes them dangerous.
Kinda like the kids in the Third Infantry Division.
To: fhayek
Phillies? When was that, 1980? They have the most hooligan looking crowd of players in the MLB.
Their fans sucketh, as well. Can we say "fickle?"
