Judicial Watch accepts contributions.

I joined JW in about 1997. They were instrumental in getting information about John Huang out in the open BEFORE the 1996 Presidential election. It was clear at that point to anyone who cared that, totally ignoring the sex-related stuff, the Clinton Admin had become corrupt to the core, even to the point of accepting foreign contributions for political campaigns.

After the election, IMHO, JW took on more and more issues, to the point where they became unfocused and weren't able to adequately pursue their cases. They did a lot of good things (exposing the existence of Gore's treasure trove of secret e-mails for one), but at some point they decided that being in front of the cameras was more important than actually delivering results. They gratuitously (IMHO) jumped into a lot of issues (Elian Gonzalez for one) and would grandiosely announce this, that, or the other legal filing, which would inevitably come to naught.

I stopped contributing in early 1999. If they still operate as they did then and you contribute, you can expect to be hounded to within an inch of your life with mailings and phone calls. Sending cash in an envelope with no return address directly to Tom Fitton might be the best strategy.

I don't question their honesty as much as their effectiveness.

And those who aren't comfortable sending it to Mr. Fitton can send it to me and I'll forward it to Judicial Watch on their behalf.

Cash only please. ;-)
