Reading that article, AQ is acting like they are a political force to be dealt with through negotiation.

I thought the world learned something about negotiating with madmen through the failure of appeasement before and during WWII, but I am obviously mistaken.

You see my earlier post on Adnan al-Shukrijumah?

He was identified as the next Mohammed Atta back when the war in Iraq started back in March. He is in the US ... somewhere, with his cell(s) and said to be a licensed pilot. IMO, the longer he goes without being apprehended the more chance there is going to be that he is able to carry out an attack on par w/ 9/11.

I missed that post. Has his picture been flashed on tv or is there a public BOLO?

Keep in mind that the average al-Qaeda grunt is better trained than the members of most Arab militaries, something the Yemenis have learned quite a bit over the last two years. The Yemeni government only controls about 1/3 of the country, and al-Qaeda already rules three of the northern provinces in the country. They basically want quasi-autonomy from the government in return for ceasing attacks in the country.

And the Yemenis are considering it ...

Well, it's official, todays DNC now share the same Iraq policy as Bin Laden.

That IS bad news.

The more I learn about AQ, the more I realize what a big mistake it was for Clinton to let him operate as long as he did. I'm not trying to politicize this, and perhaps other presidents would have done the same, but it was one of those tactical blunders that will cost us in human lives and $$'s for geneartions to come.

Well, it worked for FARC in Colombia (under Clinton). Of course, they didn't stop their attacks on the rest of the country, because being a terrorist means never having to say you're sorry.

Al-Jazeera said bin Laden was addressing two audio messages to the Iraqi and American peoples saying that the United States "has got bogged down in Iraq and advising the US army to leave it."

Bogged down??

Thanks Liberal media/press .. seems Bin Laden has been reading your articles

Sounds like Bin Laden pretty much threaten the whole world

#54 is the post

Al-Shukrijumah has been on the public BOLO at least twice, once in March and then again in September.

Here are the ppl the FBI is seeking info on:

http://www.fbi.gov/terrorinfo/terrorismsi.htm

Zubayr al-Rimi is dead:

http://stacks.msnbc.com/news/970500.asp?0cv=cb10

Adnan al-Shukrijumah and Abderraouf Jdey were last sighted up in Naples, Maine on September 14:

http://www.theunionleader.com/articles_show.html?article=26226

Jaber Elbaneh is the only member of the Buffalo Six still at large.

Aafia Siddiqui is the wife of Dr. Mohammed Khan (also on the list), a Pakistani scientist who works for al-Qaeda and has been apprehended.

Habis Abdullah al-Saoub was identified as killed this last week by the Pakistani military:

http://www.oregonlive.com/news/oregonian/index.ssf?/base/front_page/1066478556239340.xml

Karim al-Mejjati is still at large.

Jamal Mohammed Ahmed Ali al-Badawi was the on-the-scenes man for the U.S.S. Cole bombing. He recently escaped from Yemeni prison and is still at large.

Amir al-Maati is still at large.

And then there is the al-Rabeei cell to worry about:

http://www.fbi.gov/terrorinfo/terseekinfo.htm

As well as the five rising stars within al-Qaeda whose videos were found at Mohammed Atef's house:

http://www.fbi.gov/terrorinfo/terseekinfomartyr.htm

All of these men are still at large.

Yes. Jdey and his four compatriots Abd al-Rahim, Mohammed Said Ali Hassan, Khalid ibn al-Jehani, and Fakir Boussora have all been identified as the next generation of al-Qaeda leaders who were being coached by Mohammed Atef, hence the videotapes. If Jdey is in the United States and has been able to evade the dragnet for this long, he didn't come here alone.

You are both a font of information. I thought I was up on things, but can see I've missed quite a bit.

I'd forgotten about that Yemeni jail break recently. Thanks or the pictures and links - I've reviewed them all but fear I wouldn't recognize one if I saw them on the street.
