The interview might be in Washington, D.C., but you could actively participate in the group from any major city's NBC studio.
You can also express a local view, not just the beltway perspective.
Go for it - if you're comfortable, rational, and natural on tv, then it sounds like a really good living to just express your opinions, and MSNBC probably pays well too.
