You know what? It looks like Laura's left pinkie finger is contracted somewhat. I see that in the photos here consistently. Will have to look specifically at others but I wonder if she either has arthritis in her hand or perhaps an old injury to that finger.
Check it out. I'd never noticed it until you pointed out her hand position. I wonder if it hurts her to extend her fingers

It looks like Laura's left pinkie finger is contracted somewhat. My sister and I inherited from our mother the same type of crooked little finger that Laura has. I don't know if hers is a genetic "crook," but whatever it is, it's more pronounced than mine. I can't straighten it to save my soul.
