Lots of things just won't be answered here on earth.

I lost my 'baby' sister (age 22) to cancer.

I didn't understand it 27 years ago, and I don't understand it now, but I KNOW that God is Sovereign, and that's enough for the time being.

When I get to Heaven, I'll either understand it, or not have a need to understand it......

Don't get me wrong, my faith is very strong and always will be..

I don't understand why my brothers only son (also 22) died of cancer too..

But one thing is for sure, I always kept my faith..

A dear old pastor, now retired, once said in his sermon, "When we get to heaven there, just inside the pearly gates, will be a booth titled 'All questions answered." We'll have the opportunity to ask any and all the questions we have about God, life, death, heaven, . . . but we'll be in heaven with all of our loved ones so the answers to our questions really won't matter." I've carried the picture of that Information booth with me, and it does give me comfort. I pray that for you, too.

What a comfort it is to have that faith. I don't know how people who don't have faith, get throught the hard, confusing, troubling, and very painful times. Despite my 'troubles' (which are not that bad, compared to the challenges you are facing and have faced) I KNOW without a doubt that GOD is in charge, and He knows what he is doing, and He has a plan for me (sometimes I wish he'd send me an e-mail telling me His plan and when it would happen . . . :-) ) but I do know He is with me.

Did you see their interview with Tom Brokaw?

There was a great part where they were talking about how she was bothered when media people said negative things about her appearance, and he said he'd just tell her, "You look beautiful, Babe!"

It was SO romantic!

I think I did see that and it was so sweet. Both of them are so strong, yet so sensitive. They want to protect each other from any hurt. I hope they do another interview with Barbara Walters at Christmas again. I just love seeing them together. Did you read their interview in Ladies Home Journal last month? Just reading it made me laugh--wish it would have been filmed, too. Many cute and funny and teasing comments by both of them to the other.
