I hope that SOB (if he's the one responsible) is forced to repay the costs for searching all those jets.
What a moron.

Who is the bigger idiot though, the person that left the boxcutters, or us for shutting down a lot of air travel over some boxcutters?
For $10 al-Qaeda can shut down air travel. Why bother with plans on hijacking planes? Just recruit a couple of the hundred of thousands of minimum paid custodial staff at the airport.

I have not heard whether there were blades in the boxcutters.
He may be truly crazy (or just dumb) if he left the blades in...if his intention was only to warn about security weakness.
To: lelio
The person who left them is an idiot. I wasn't aware that we shutdown any air travel, slight delay but not stopped.

He proved that airport security is still a farce. I'm not sure I'm that I'm mad at him.
This isn't much different than ABC testing port security with depleted uranium mislabeled.

He may be truly crazy (or just dumb) if he left the blades in...if his intention was only to warn about security weakness. But taking the blades out would not show what a joke security is. Without blades, the box cutters are just plastic and will sail through securtity. That's not news. What is news is that he was able to get real box cutters through security..twice!

The govt will spin this into a great security victory, while minimizing the very real danger of air travel.
My friend greets private jets at Newark airport in NJ. He last year that he could not believe how many shady new employees had access to the planes on the ground before a flight.
This is an important development that may save lives in the future. Sometimes it takes something extreme to make the govt giant act.
Unfortunately, he will be destroyed by the govt for this...
