This will NOT be good news for the Schindlers. The lower court and the appellate court have already dismissed the writ today. Appeals courts can only act upon what trial courts give them. Judge Greer has declared Terri a vegetable, so as far as any appeals court could be concerned, she's a vegetable.
The only appeals issue I've seen which might have merit is the fact that medical practice demands that even patients with feeding tubes removed be given some amount of water; Greer's order does not say anything about that, and so doctors should not withhold water from Terri. To be sure, that issue would only buy Terri a few days, but at this point that would be much better than nothing.

(Why is it that the more "gun safety" laws are passed, the less safe my guns seem?)

This appeal is on the writ of mandamus (to have the courts compel Jeb to act). The circuit court judge said the Schindlers filed it in the wrong court (Tallahassee rather than Pinellas). They appealled that ruling (rather than filing the writ in Pinellas county). That appeal was denied. The Supremes will rule on this case by midnight.
I doubt if this case would've turned out any differently had the case been filed in Pinellas county, but it'll be no surprise if the Florida supremes dismiss this case.
