This appeal is on the writ of mandamus (to have the courts compel Jeb to act). The circuit court judge said the Schindlers filed it in the wrong court (Tallahassee rather than Pinellas). They appealled that ruling (rather than filing the writ in Pinellas county). That appeal was denied. The Supremes will rule on this case by midnight.

I doubt if this case would've turned out any differently had the case been filed in Pinellas county, but it'll be no surprise if the Florida supremes dismiss this case.

Is it impossible to file the writ in Pinellas County without it having to go before Judge Greer? If the answer's yes, that would explain a lot.
