I wonder what the first case regarding Terri involved? I would not be surprised if Judge Greer got locked in before the Schindlers had any idea what Schiavo was going to try to do. Of course, since the Schiavo Triumvirate knew what was up from the beginning, that meant they could win even before the Schindlers first stepped in the door.

Hmmm, I'd have to do more research on this one, but it may have been the one that named Michael Schiavo as guardian. It should be on Terri's website.

The website's timeline only goes back to 2000. But if Greer's first case was the one appointing Schiavo as guardian, it would seem unlikely that the family would have invested in the legal research to determine whether Greer might behave less than fairly in any matters regarding their daughter. I see no way they could have known that their failure to challenge Judge Greer's allocation to the case would cost their daughter's life.
