You have a point. A good one. FReepers could get the message across to Jeb and media if they were denying themselves food -fasting - but don't try doing without water.

Well, file a complaint with the insurance company and the insurance commission. It'll take months, if not years, for it to work its way through the system.
And it won't put Terri's feeding tube back in.

Could it be that Michael Schiavo's gross malfeasance as Terri's guardian is within the purview of Judge 'kill'um' Greer, thus the judge has protected Michael schiavo by allowing him to continue as guardian despite his defrauding Terri? Yeah, that could be!

A no justice for Terri, no votes for Jeb 2008. No justice , no peace BTTT. The first thing I want to say is this: What is happening is absolutely wrong and a crime.
The second item is: please do not take this wrong.
I have been following this and have seen many posts such as yours, my question is this...
I know a Governor can "stay" an execution order (yea, I know), that is recinding a legal order from the judicial branch. What legal ground - if any - does Gov Bush have here to intervene in this situation?
I'm sure he'd stop this nonsense in a heart beat if he could.

"Have any doctors who have actually seen Teri, not just a video, agreed that she is not in a permanent vegative state?"
I'm still looking for the link showing that Judge Greer stopped all but hubby-approved doctors from examining Terri, but to answer your question yes they have.
http://www.nationalreview.com/comment/comment-smith090503.asp "...Yet, affidavits filed by nurses who cared for Terri claim that she has responded to them, can speak, and can even swallow food. Moreover, a picture is worth 1,000 words. Videotapes of Terri clearly show her responding to requests. For example, a closed-eyed Terri is asked to open her eyes by a doctor. Her eyes flutter and she does as he requests. She is asked in another video to follow a balloon with her eyes, and she does. In a heartbreaking video, Terri's mother kisses her on the cheek and Terri smiles and responds, clearly happy that her mom is with her. These and other videos can be seen by visiting www.terrisfight.org.
Dr. William Hammesfahr, a world-renowned expert in cases such as Terri's and a Nobel Prize nominee testified that Terri is not in a PVS. He also testified that he believes he could help her improve her circumstances through proper medical treatment. Ten other physicians have testified or given statements that Terri is not unconscious. Judge Greer instead chose to believe contrary testimony by a doctor who rarely sees Terri and another doctor, who makes an avocation of testifying in cases such as Terri's throughout the country, always on the side of dehydration.
Despite the clear financial and personal conflicts of interest, Judge Greer repeatedly sides with Michael and against Terri's father, mother, and siblings, who want to care for her for the rest of her life. This means that the man who might benefit financially from his wife's death and who has clear personal reasons for wanting Terri to die continues to have almost sole say over how she is treated and cared for or denied care on a daily basis..."
Catspaw, what are you talking about? I never cited any Adams Group therapists. The quote from my message was from Terri's parents.

That's how I found out that the "therapists" doing "therapy" by cell phone were from the "Galaxy Wave Group." I'll dig out the link.

Even the folks at DU appear to be predominantly sympathetic to Terri's plight (looked at one thread with 25 responses).
This would appear to bode well for a recall of Greer, or not to re-elect him.
I predict, though, that he will resign first.

Maybe you need to show them how it's done....

I'd be disinclined from using these "therapists" as a source. Would you also be disinclined to use her father as a source?

1) the insurance company that paid the money no longer exists
2) addressing an insurance company is totally irrelevant to the malfeasance of Judge Greer
3) the governor, if he had the cajones, could stop this travesty of justice while investigations into Greer's errors in judgement and Michael Schiavo's abuse via neglect of Terri's needs were undertaken
4) the governor's own amicus brief filed in Lazzara's court stated that Terri's Constitutional Rights are being violated, yet the governor hasn't the courage of his rhetoric to act on Terri's behalf in his state
(5) the Florida Subpreme Court is as corrupt or more so than Judge Greer, as they proved with their ridiculous rulings in the 2000 election theft tried by Gore & co.
(6) one of George Bush's most important assets as a President is his desire to do the right thing, then deal with the political fallout from the likes of fat Teddy Kennedy and little Tommy Daschle; Jeb Bush doesn't have that in him, thus he is not fit for high office ... Jeb Bush is too much like bill 'sinkEmperor' clinton in his unwillingness to act upon what he has epoused is the right course to follow ... In another case the Schindlers filed, for a TRO after the 1st order to remove the feeding tube, they did file the case before a different judge. Although the TRO was granted by this judge, the appeals court reversed. http://www.jud10.org/2ndDCA/july01/2D00-1269.htm I'll look at that.
If the Schindlers, as an interested party, didn't file for a change of judge within the time limits, the courts wouldn't allow it.
I wonder if Judge Greer acted nicely until the time limit was up?
Although I can understand a desire to avoid "judge shopping", it seems that the current system makes judge shopping more of a problem than it would be if judges were assigned cases by lot. As it is, the rewards for someone who can steer a case to a judge who's hostile to his opponents are way too big.

Maybe I'm mixed up on what's going on here, but when my nephew had his feeding tube in in stomach, we just blended some steak, mashed taters and gravy in a blender, and just shot it in there with a turkey baster looking thingy. If I was dad, I would bring one full turkey baster to a visitation. Course I would already be up for murder charges if I were him.

Well, the place--if you've actually studied their website--sound like quacks, more than willing to take money from desparate parents such as the Schindlers.
I found the name of "Galaxy Wave Group" on this FR thread in a WND story.

And so was Schindler. It was part of a covert rehabilitation program the desperate father and Galaxy Wave Group a therapeutic company on the cutting-edge of medical technology devised for Terri in a bold attempt to bring her to a point of recovery where even Florida judges would realize they could not allow her to be starved.

A simple google.com search on "Galaxy Wave Group" http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=galaxy+wave+group&btnG=Google+Search
