In World War II we built warships. In Vietnam we constructed airfields and port facilities. In Somalia, Rwanda, Haiti and the Balkans we worked alongside the troops to help provide a sense of normalcy to those countries. In 1991, during the first Gulf War, our people helped extinguish over half of the oil fires in Kuwait.

....Frankly, I know the political attacks will continue. As CEO of a great company with 100,000 employees, I am extremely proud of our work and our ability to do the tough job--we thrive on the challenge. Every one of us will be resolute in our commitment to deliver the essentials to the men and women who are serving our country. They deserve nothing less.

We have an army of civilian workers in Iraq today, many Veterans offering their services to help today's younger generation of warriors.

They're all partisan attacks. These contracts were bid competively before Cheney to last X number of years. If the US government decided to bid a contract out in March it would take 3-6 months to award it at minimum. If US soldiers had no support, they would be in a real quagmire. It’s just partisan attacks, but it’s bad press on all the business Halliburton does. Obviously no one complained during WWII when the government asked Brown & Root to build ships for them. The Democratic party wasn’t firing attacks when Brown & Root shipyards built the most amount of ships for the US during WWII. The left just loves to fire attacks in every direction, hoping one will stick.

It's refreshing when the truth cuts through multitude of lies told by the hyper-partisan Left.

Thanks.
