A temperature spike may not necessarily be a sign of imminent death. Most often, the body temperature drops preceding death, or wildly fluctuates.

However, it is a sign that Terri is probably becoming unstable due to dehydration. :'(

Of course plain food in a feeding tube --- nothing more than a long wide straw wouldn't kill her. Drugs okay, food not okay. Makes absolutely no sense except her adulterous husband and his lover are busy counting Terri's money that soon belongs to them.
