Actually, you're wrong. They weren't solicited by the Schindlers. Were they glad they were written? Certainly. But there are many others that have an interest in this case.Right. And they have no more weight than any other outsider with an interest in the outcome of the case.
Too late for the legislature to have any impact. This is up to the Governor, and quite possibly to the DOJ.
Amazing how FReepers can argue for limited government and state sovereignty until either (a) the cows come home, or (b) they don't like the result...and then they demand expansive government.

It's not a question of conservatives opposing expansive government.
It is expansive government in FL that is killing an innocent disabled person!

And they have no more weight than any other outsider with an interest in the outcome of the case. Other than the fact that the arguments have great internal weight of their own you are correct.
Do you think, truly, that this woman's constitutional rights are not being grossly violated?

Pretty oblique commentary there. But hardly surprising since you know darn well that I'm not arguing for expansive government, I'm arging for someone to have the guts to protect one poor, defenseless woman from a bunch of murderous ghouls.
Are you a ghoul, too? Or simply so much of a contrarian that you just have to jump into a situation like this and make a muck of things?

You opined, Amazing how FReepers can argue for limited government and state sovereignty until either (a) the cows come home, or (b) they don't like the result...and then they demand expansive government. We freepers don't seem to be your sort of people, do we? Will you continue to bless us with your condescension? You and Dave S., strela and others of your disruptive ilk make a team of it.
