[history]
"Trying to eliminate Saddam ... would have incurred incalculable human and political costs. Apprehending him was probably impossible. ... We would have been forced to occupy Baghdad and, in effect, rule Iraq. ... [T]here was no viable 'exit strategy' we could see, violating another of our principles. Furthermore, we had been self-consciously trying to set a pattern for handling aggression in the post-Cold War world. Going in and occupying Iraq, thus unilaterally exceeding the United Nations' mandate, would have destroyed the precedent of international response to aggression that we hoped to establish. Had we gone the invasion route, the United States could conceivably still be an occupying power in a bitterly hostile land."

The DUers themselves brag on their own website about sleeper accounts here at FR that are active but left dormant for several years before actual use. Judging by the DU and rense.com cr*p I see here I have my suspicions that this is one of them.
Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty.
In fact I believe that this garbage has been posted and ZOTed earlier. Time for a RETURN TRIP. ZZZZZOOOOOTTTT!!!!

The Left just doesn't get it. 9-11 changed everything.
Until they show they can UNDERSTAND foreign policy, they'll be left wandering in the political wilderness for the next decade. Are they really this stupid or just positioning themselves politically?
Jimmy Carter's response to 9-11 would have been to blame the Amercian people, followed by bending over and kissing his own *ss goodbye.

The article is from the Washington Times and not from the poster. I didn't see a barf alert but know one when I see one without it being stated.
To: JohnHuang2
P.C. Roberts bends over backwards trying to tie the term neocons to the evil Jooos.
JH2, check out reply #2 for a good laugh.

...Awwww give him a break, he's 8 days newer than I am and I'm still a baby here.
To: Graybeard58
It's a tradition here that newbies get punched around when they misstep, and as punches go, this was just a lovetap.
;O)
By the way, you must have had handsome children, 'cause you certainly do make beautiful grandchildren.

Well, that meant a lot didn't it? I havent quite got the hang of HTML yet but that was supposed to be a picture of my baby boy (just turned 29 years old) He is a policeman in civilian life but was recently activated (army reserve) and leaves from Ft. Lewis, Washington on the 1st of Nov. for Iraq. Hre has a wife and three year old son. Prayers are appreciated.
To: JohnHuang2
Americans, however, are so pumped up over the attacks of September 11, 2001, that they are slow to realize they are being deceived and dragged through other people's quarrels into a wider war.Three thousand of our innocent citizens have died precisely because we considered the mess in the Middle East to be "other people's quarrels".
To: Graybeard58
God bless the boy and may good fortune ride with him.

I'll be more careful the next time. I didn't know that experienced posters were allowed to post ZOTed articles over again. Also I did read on in the DU forum that some of their trolls do maintain active accounts here that are not used for months or even years before an actual trolling event to make them look "experienced". That kind of makes me suspicious of ALL rense.com and DU type material without the BARF ALERT found here and that the Admin Moderator's attention should be drawn to it. If it is truely simply a BARF ALERT without the BARF ALERT warning from an experienced poster and not a DU or rense.com troll using a sleeper account to fake experience than I assume that the Admin Moderator won't ZOT it as it was in this case.

WTF are you talking about? This is a perfectly legitimate article from the Washington Times, not DU or rense.com, and to my knowledge it never got the zot. Are you sure you posted to the right thread, or the right forum, for that matter?
That's what this forum is all about, DUmbie, posting newspaper articles and critiquing them from a conservative viewpoint.
You should keep your yap shut until you learn the ropes around here, junior, or better men than I will trash you all over the lot.

In fact, now that I've checked your posts through the forum, I think
YOU are a troll. Seems all you do is try to call the zot down on other folks.
Who the f____ are you, DU trollbot?
If you'd get your head out of your rearend for a minute you'd know that JohnHuang2 is one of FR's most prolific and respected posters.
Bug off!

You claim that this article wasn't ZOTed before than kindly explain THIS!!!
ZOT! Wisdom of the Father, Folly of the Son
If you read the article in this ZOT thread and the article in the current thread you will find that they are the SAME ARTICLE albeit with a few name changes to try to hide that fact. (probably on the part of the ZOT and not the current poster). You also have to admit that this article no matter whoever posts it has a desidedly "tin foil hat" look to its Bush bashing similar to what one would find at rense.com or infowars.com as well as DU.

You claim that this article wasn't ZOTed before than kindly explain THIS!!!You should stick to the techie threads, smart guy, because it appears your reading and comprehension skills aren't that high. What I said was and I quote, "to my knowledge it never got the zot."
After following your link, I can see that that thread was zotted because of the poster who signed up and got the hook all on the same day. The article was legit, it was the poster that was a troll.
What name changes are you talking about? Both posters, the zotted BushsWar and JH2 attributed the post correctly to the published sources. Both Newsmax and The Washington Times publish P.C. Roberts, who is a syndicated columnist.
Stick to the techie threads or make lucid political comments and lay off calling the zot down on every other thread you post to.
See ya around campus, newbie.

The quagmire in Iraq might make a wider war seem unlikely.Ah, there's that "quagmire" word again.
I won't call it a quagmire until we are there past Dec 2004.
If the US isn't out of Iraq by then I will consider the word, "quagmire".

Thanks for the constructive criticism. The next time before calling the ZOT I'll look at the poster's posting record.
Should probably have done that for this thread. However if the record of a poster is a SINGLE Article like this one no matter how old the account may be (in view of this recent
discovery of possible years old DU sleeper accounts) it's still ZOT bait in my book. (The way of trolls is to post "drive by" SINGLE ARTICLES of this leftist drivel I have recently learned by looking at the ZOT's history in the Admin Moderator's account.)

I was about to say that Roberts should stick to economics, but, come to think of it, he should just keep his trap shut on all subjects.
