PMW has been documenting the duplicity of the Palestinian Authority towards the United States for years. In its English statements, the PA presents itself as an American ally, while its Arabic messages incite its people to hate and kill Americans. Never has this hypocrisy been more striking than today, after the Palestinian ambush that targeted and killed three American diplomats in the Gaza Strip. The official PA rushed to condemn the attack -- even as the PA-controlled media continues its relentless campaign of anti-American indoctrination.
During the war in Iraq, the PA actively endorsed the killing of Americans, and even produced a music video celebrating the deaths of US soldiers that was broadcast repeatedly on official PA TV[Click here to view video] In the months before the Iraq war, the official PA daily published calls to Saddam Hussein to turn Iraq into a graveyard for American soldiers. At a pro-Iraq rally they “praised the role of Iraq and the Commander Saddam Hussein, and stressed that Iraq’s land will be a graveyard for the American soldiers...” [Al Hayat Al Jadida, Dec. 19, 2002]
A recent sermon on official PA TV described the US as “the foremost enemy of the Muslim nation” compared to Pharaoh of the Bible saying: “There is no God besides me”. [PA TV February 21, 2003]
This past Friday, the PA sermon broadcast on official PA TV included the following threats and warnings to the US:
“We hear statements by the little American President, oppressive statements. He says Israel has the right to defend itself… These statements carry destruction for America itself… This president sees himself like one who has ascended to the mountaintop and like one expecting someone to push him so that he falls into the abyss, he and his people with him. We warn the American people that this president is dragging them to the abyss… [Allah] take vengeance on Your enemies, our enemies, enemies of religion.” [PA TV Sheikh Ibrahim Madiras, Oct. 10, 2003]
A recent sermon on official PA TV told Muslim believers to anticipate the destruction of the US:
“If we go back 1400 years in time, we find that history is repeating itself, worshippers of Allah. The Prophet Mohammed was besieged by two powers, Persia in the east and Rome in the west. These represent the Soviet Union and America of today. Persia represents Russia in the east, and America stands for Rome in the west. Persia fell first in the east, just as Russia fell first in the east, and America will fall, may it be Allah’s will, just as Rome fell…” [Official Sermon PA TV, September 5,2003,Sheikh Ibrahim Madiras.] Clearly, the American diplomats were murdered today by Palestinians fulfilling their role in their war against Americans, as they have been taught by their leaders, through years of hate-mongering and calls for violence against Americans.

Americans terror-murdered in attack by Islamists / CAIR Response?
Three contract security guards acting as bodyguards for American diplomatic personnel were terror-murdered today while escorting a diplomatic convoy in the Gaza Strip. The convoy was traveling to a
meeting where American diplomatic personnel were to discuss the awarding of Fulbright scholarships to Gaza Palestinians.
What was the response of America’s “premier Muslim civil rights group”, the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR)?
As a service to our readers, we reprint the entire CAIR press release:
“CAIR CONDEMNS ATTACK ON U.S. DIPLOMATIC CONVOY
(WASHINGTON, D.C., 10/15/03) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Washington-based Islamic civil rights and advocacy group, today condemned a bomb attack Wednesday on a U.S.
diplomatic convoy in Gaza that killed three Americans.
The remote-controlled bomb targeted a convoy of U.S. Embassy personnel heading to Gaza to interview Palestinian candidates for a Fulbright scholarship. The attack
has been condemned by the Palestinian Authority and disavowed by all Palestinian factions.
In its statement, the group said:
“We condemn today’s attack on diplomatic personnel in Gaze and call for a joint American-Palestinian investigation to locate, apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators.
This attack was particularly disturbing because those killed and injured were on a educational mission designed to help the Palestinian people.
We reiterate our long-standing position rejecting all attacks on civilians, whether they are carried out by individuals, groups or states.”
CAIR, America’s largest Islamic civil liberties group, is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and has 16 regional offices nationwide and in
Canada.”
CAIR has noted: “The attack has been condemned by the Palestinian Authority and disavowed by all Palestinian factions.” However, according to DEBKA and the Jerusalem Post, the “Popular Resistance
Committee” has taken responsibility for the attack. The “Popular Resistance Committee” is made up of various Islamic terrorist groups, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
Why is this important?
Mr. Nihad Awad, the Executive Director of CAIR and former public relations director for the Islamic Association of Palestine Islamic terrorist group, has gone on public record as stating:
“I am in support of the Hamas movement”
In addition, Mr. Ibrahim Hooper, CAIR spokesperson, when questioned about CAIR’s public support for Islamic terrorist groups Hamas and Hizbullah stated:
“CAIR does not support these groups publicly”
We of ACAIR are sure that it is great comfort to the families of those terror-murdered today to know that Mr. Awad both condemns and supports their terror-murders and that Mr. Hooper will continue to deny
CAIR’s public support for Islamic terrorist groups.
As noted in a previous ACAIR press release, Mr. Awad acknowledges the presence of Islamic terrorist groups in the United States and has not condemned this presence.
Why?
In the press release, CAIR notes its “…position rejecting all attacks on civilians…”. How interesting. So is CAIR endorsing the terror-murder of Israeli and American military personnel?

public condemnation of Hamas and offer of assistance by CAIR in the identification and investigation of all members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad – here in the United States and abroad. We
look forward to CAIR’s sincere demand for justice for our terror murdered American brethren.
Mr. Hooper, Mr. Awad, would either of you like to explain CAIR’s support of Islamic terrorism to the membership of CAIR? Would you like to explain to your members that a portion of their dues goes to
support two of the leading Islamic terrorism supporters in the United States?
Do either of you believe the majority of the CAIR membership is aware of your support for Islamic terrorism, where human beings are murdered in the name of Allah? Would the membership approve?
Don’t worry, Mr. Awad, Mr. Hooper. The last thing any decent American would expect from either of you is the honorable thing.

“ACAIR calls on the Council on American Islamic Relations to condemn all Islamic terrorist groups by name and to state unequivocally, without reservation(s) of any kind, that CAIR will not support, publicly or
privately, any Islamic terrorist group, no matter where it may be located. Specifically, we call on CAIR to condemn Hamas, Hizbullah, Islamic Association of Palestine, Islamic Jihad and the Popular Resistance
Committee by name.”
