BTW, Kilborn and his "writing" staff did get in a little trouble for their so-called joke. The Secret Service paid them a little visit and said "If you do it again, we will arrest you." In addition, CBS brass said "If you ever do it again, it'll be your final broadcast."

They haven't done anything of the sort since.

I'm very glad to hear there were reprecussions, not just from the Secret Service, but from CBS, as well.
