Do you think that they husband and his minions have done something to ``push things along?''
To: MarMema
No, I have not heard. Where did you get this information?
To: MarMema
"Hey there. Have you heard? They are saying Terri is running a very high temp and is quite ill. "
Maybe she will atleast go quickly then and not have to suffer too many days if no one is going to intervene to stop this.

Blurring the distinction between "killing" and "making heroic efforts to sustain a flicker of life" does not make the question moot. Obviously I have never mentioned the former as an option.

Indeed, price is the mechanism for "rationing" scare commodities in this world, including lawyers. However, even top law firms do plenty of pro bono work so p.b. lawyers are not necessily poor lawyers or even likely to be such.

This case was discussed on O'Reilly last night and tapes of the Lady were shown. I agree with the pro-Terri folks after seeing that tape.
There would appear to be no reason that she should not be maintained by her parents since it appears that she has some degree of consciousness remaining from her responses on the tape.
I don't know if they were autonomic or not but she did appear to smile and follow movement.

If I'm not mistaken, you can see more of the video than they probably showed on O'Reilly. There are two of them now I think. www.terrisfight.org

"Terminal dehydration, as the medical community calls it, is a horrid, slow, agonizing death for the non-terminal, disabled people who are forced to endure it. Very soon, the recognition of this fact will cause the general population in this country to agree to euthanasia by injection."
This gives me a theory of what the 'right-to-diers' want on this case.
It will come out how much people suffer when killed in such a way. It has already been pointed out that starvation/dehydration is illegal for condemned prisoners and even animals. So the case will be made that the 'compassionate' thing to do is do kill the unwanted/incovenient elderly disabled via lethal injection. [Of course letting them live will not be considered.]

Yes, but I'm pretty certain one of Terri's problems is that her lawyers are outclassed by the Schiavo Triumvirate. The design of the court system is such that it's very difficult to get a "finding of fact" by a trial court overturned, even if it's contradicted by 99.44% of the evidence. I also suspect that Terri's lawyers for far too long believed Judge Greer to be acting in good faith.
My one consolation as I look at the diminishing likelihood of a rescue, is that the Schiavo Triumvirate aren't going to escape judgement forever. Someone is watching them who cannot be fooled, hoodwinked, or manipulated.
