Refresh my memory - what happened in the Elian case that parallels this one? I wasn't so politically aware back then and hadn't yet discovered FR.

I am waiting for the protesters to storm the Hospice.
(You forgot to add the guards that are "just following orders".)

It is becoming clear that the argument "it's legal" or "the judges decided" has no more validity. What course of action do you propose?
To: george wythe
Excessive rhetoric like the use of murder or the designation of the trial judge or appellate judges as murderers not be used by anyone from our Judeo-Christian tradition. This is a much harder case than those who use facile language might know. That is unless the courts are able to " weed" through all the information and PROVE MICHAEL guilty. There is too much here that is not yet sorted through.....

"Feeding tubes & ventilators are not a part of it."
Terri is not on a ventilator. Sorry about your Grandmother. Mine died instantly of a massive stroke at the young age of 57.

This is a sad, sad, sad day in America!! I can't hold back my tears for this woman and her loving parents, family and supporters.
I know I'm not the first one to say or ask this, but isn't there anything else that can be done?
To: EternalVigilance
Why don't you pay attention. That question was related to a policy question not specifically at this lady's situation.

Avoiding the question does not make it go away, sorry.

It's your type of thinking that has gotten us to this point.
It offends me deeply.
If you want to keep posting that crap, you're just going to have to shut up and take it when others don't take too kindly to it.

what happened in the Elian case that parallels this one?The arguments made by supporters of Elian to stay in America was very similar to your:
They've simply declined jurisdiction, or refused to hear the case altogether.
The only exception was, that in Elian case, at least one state judge ruled in his favor.
The rest of the judges washed their hands by saying that the INS had jurisdiction, not the courts, to decide Elian's custody battle.

Hitler was totally opposed to abortion for German women. It was a capital crime. In fact, I am surprised the pro-aborts have not put out posters linking him to Operation Rescue by now.

I Am A Former Skeptic
I have been mildly curious about this case for a few months, but never paid very close attention to it. I noticed in this thread that there was a website which has video of Terri. Out of curiosity, I went to the website to view the video.
Terri's Fight
This woman is NOT comatose!
She obviously has suffered severe brain damage, but she is not a "vegetable." She clearly demonstrates emotion and awareness on a very primitive level.
This order to remove the feeding tube is very disturbing.

Yes, this has been one of my favorite examples of Felo's twisted logic.

And more irony. I hear Andrea Yates (who murdered her 5 children) is trying to starve herself to death. I would bet the state would intervene to save her life and force a feeding tube down her. It just boggles the mind doesn't it?
