Sigh...

I don't know why I bother responding to people who pop in here knowing zero facts and say things like this.

Terri is not comatose or PVS. She most likely would not be in the condition she is in if her husband had used the malpractice money that was awarded for her care and rehabilitation ON her care and rehabilitation, instead of his lawyer fees. Michael is quite welcome to move on with his life (actually, he has - with his girlfriend and two kids), but if he divorced her then he wouldn't get the rest of the money THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO GO FOR HER CARE AND REHABILITATION. Once he got the money, he did everything he could to prevent her from any sort of recovery, or even comfort. When she didn't die on her own, he suddenly remembered she had told him she didn't want to live with any sort of "artificial" support.

I sent e-mails to Jeb Bush and President Bush -- apparently they can't or won't do anything. I just now sent one to the one and only Judge Greer -- told him what I think of him and I don't give a damn about the consequences. He's an evil man and I pray he'll get his just rewards when his time comes.

This travesty has resulted in me questioning my country and my faith. It's a very sad day... for ALL of us.

Sorry... I'm just really upset over this and don't even know how or what to think. None of us are safe anymore.

Major media is wrong. She's clearly not comatose.

You my friend have a built in instinct to survive. Try drowning youself by holding your breath underwater then breathing. You will choke and gasp like a crazy person. Preservation of life is the basic predisposition of lifeforms. Don't write it off so easily. I wonder who put that in our genes?

What would you want done to YOU if you had been in that same condition for 13 yrs? Would YOU want to burden your parents that way? That is no LIFE, I'm sorry.

It is a very emotional situation, and I do have sympathy for everyone involved.

Why is the Kobe story getting so much attention? This woman is being killed, and it's just Kobe all the time.

This is sickening.

Attorneys representing her husband, Michael Schiavo, said it will take between a week and 10 days for her to die.

What double speak! What they mean is slowly starve to death and die of thirst, in a state of consciousness while her organs slowly fail and she succombs to death after lingering in this new, court-ordered state, for 10 or so days. Did her loving (said sneeringly) hubby pull the plug? Will he be sitting vigil with her, to keep company and offer comfort? If he does keep vigil, it will no doubt be to make sure no one tries to re-insert the feeding tube. No doubt, some hapless nurse on 'duty' was forced to pull the plug. I understand it is not permitted to even offer water. Even Jesus dying on the cross was offered a wine soaked sponge.

God help us all, if she is the 'new' definition of comatose. We don't treat animals this way, in fact there are laws to make sure we don't! As I said on a related thread, a long, slow, court-ordered murder. Prayer ping for Terry & her parents.

Her husband has been trying to kill her for 13 years

This is inflammatory rhetoric, and I will bow out of this discussion.

You seem too emotionally involved with this case to consider the possibility of a valid opposing viewpoint.

There are people of good will on both sides of this issue, and if my brain cortex were dead, I'd rather have my wife remove any feeding tubes.

That's just my opinion, but I respect yours.

What do you call 13 yrs in a coma????

Someone has probably answered you already, but this woman is not in a coma. No way near it.

You should do some reading on some of the threads around here, instead of listening to the news reports on tv, which are invariably incorrect.

More correct version: Attorneys representing her husband, Michael Schiavo, said it will take between a week and 10 days for her husband to complete the murder of his wife.

Well, I'm sending emails from everyone of my email addresses.

I'm open to more suggestions. If I lived in FL I would be down there with protest signs.

I am ready and willing if you come up with another idea.

Oh, I see that you have finally dropped the word "coma" from your posts, but you still think that torturing and murdering this woman is just peachy.

Slither off.

Well good. I hadn't heard that. Are her parents there too? Or do they get to be inside with her?
