Woman jailed for rubbing hot chips in boy's face
A Maryland woman who rubbed hot chips in a young boy's face in a McDonald's restaurant has been sent to jail for four days.
Milikia Hayes, from Rockville, who was nine months pregnant at the time, could have faced up to 10 years, reports The Denver Channel.
The four-year-old boy had accidently spilled ice cream on Hayes' top in a McDonald's restaurant in Gaithersburg.
Hayes screamed at him, then chased him around the restaurant before putting him in a headlock and rubbing hot french fries in his face.
Doug Gansler, Montgomery County Attorney, said: "This four-year-old boy was scared to death by the outrageous assault committed by this woman.
"It is incomprehensible to think that an adult would attack a child of any age in such a manner. In this case, the victim was a defenseless pre-schooler. We are thankful that the physical injuries to the child were not serious."
Hayes, who pleaded guilty to second-degree assault, will also have to attend anger management and parenting classes.

While I think this woman went too far, what happened to parents keeping their children under control and out of the way of strangers. I would never have imagined getting close enough to a stranger to spill food on them like this when I was a child. Strangers were people who should not be annoyed.

Must have been a nice blouse she had on.

If this had happened at Primanni's, the poor kid would've suffocated.

Woman jailed for rubbing hot chips in boy's face I've heard 'em called a lot of things before. Funbags. Bazooms. Bouncers.
But "hot chips"?

I'm annoyed. I'm not seeing anywhere in the article where it says whether or not she would be home-schooling her kid.

I wonder if she asked:
"Would you like fries with that?"

In a MacDonalds, you do have to walk by people. 4-year-olds have been known to drop their ice-cream cones. No big deal...they're 4-years old. What I wonder is why the parent didn't drag this woman off his/her kid? Someone tried that with a 4-year-old of mine, they'd be spitting teeth.

Man that looks good.
I just had one of those at Heinz field on Saturday at the Pitt-ND game. YUM.
The only bad thing is that at the stadium you can't get pastrami.

I'm guessing she's the mom because it says she was ordered to attend anger management and parenting classes.

Agreed. She tried that with one of my kids, she'd have gotten a biggie-size Big Mac suppository.

That was my first thought, too, but the article definitely doesn't mention whose kid it was.
In reality, had I been there, she wouldn't have done it to her own kid, either. I'm not too patient with people hurting kids, and don't wait to see who the kid belongs to. A swat on the butt is OK, but this was _way_ out of line.

Where was Dad? Or Mum. I'd have clotheslined this bimbo as she turned the corner in hot pursuit. Pregnant or not.

I'm guessing she's the mom because it says she was ordered to attend anger management and parenting classes.</i< But the article also states she was 9 months pregnant. Maybe that's why the parenting classes are in order.
As an aside, I find the whole notion of "Parenting Classes" to be completely ludicrous. Either people can take care of their own children, or they can't. No amount of "classes" are going to change the fact that the jerk-wad parents don't have a stitch of nurture in their nature.
Parenting, to me, is instinct...not something that can be taught.

"Would you like fries with that?" Interesting visual. Sounds like a Saturday Night Live skit.
