The media will just not stop saying that she is in a vegetative state.

Our pathetic efforts have been proven useless and impotent.

The only thing that might have gotten the attention needed was massive civil disobedience to prevent Sciavo and his goons from having access to the woman now held under armed guard at this vile house of death. Hundreds , even thousands of us shoyuld have shown up. We didn't. We moan and wring our hands and pray but do not act. It seems we never act.

The other side does. They get attention and results with mob even rent a mob tactics.

We seem to believe that we are above that. Prayers just aren't working folks. America is being transformed before our eyes into a frightening, ugly place. Yet we will not take even modest action.

They other side knows that this is our weakness. This is best illustrated by a particularly vile chant I once heard the pro-abortin zealots used to taunt pro-life people after a court decision affirming the pro-abortionists.<>P>"Pray, yuo'll need it. Your cause has been defeated". Cruel but true. Prayer alone will do nothing but eventually lead us into re-education centers or worse.

An object lesson for Americans..
You are the state's property to dispose of as the state sees fit..you dont own property not even your own life or the lives of your children...

I understand your frustration, Brother.

We MUST act. But prayer must undergird our every action.

"The prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

It's in The Book!

No, resorting to violence is wrong. What are we fighting for if it's not to assist the process of making moral choices? How can you condemn the husband when you want to take the law into your own hands? The "rent a mob" folks are never the good people.

That's a classic liberal technique (rent a bunch of union thugs to fill out the audience -- also a totalitarian technique used in the Middle East. Thugs, tyrants, et al. love the "rent a mob".) Hitler used it. Thugs want to trick the people into thinking a movement exist where there isn't one. They love the lie.

The other option is to do it the hard way: develop better ideas. That's our way. You're expressing frustration - I understand. But, please. We don't want to use their tactics. Not now -- not ever.

You are right that prayer alone is not our answer -- we must act to defeat these vile actions as they present themselves to us. If I'm forced down this downward spiraling path, I'm going to be kicking, screaming, and with my finger nail marks left all along the way!

However, there is no way I would go into these snake pits of evil (even via the internet at a distance) without turning it over to God in prayer. I want to put on the whole armor of God. Not to do so is to buy into another lie.

So how about if we do what we see we can do, encourage others to do the same, pray to see more we can do -- then finally, fall exhausted into God's arms? We can pray for ourself and others who are working behind the scenes that we will all have the wisdom, courage, discernment, and strength to do what needs to be done. We will not give up!

We do not, cannnot, act alone in this battle against evil. Today it's Terri, tomorrow something worse.

Our efforts will be pathetic as long as we believe that mere protest (or even civil disobedience) will do the job, and ask questions like "legally, what can they do?" If my daughter (or other relative or friend) was about to be murdered, I wouldn't be worrying about what is legal and what is not. I honestly believe that if they tried to do this to someone I love I would either be dead right now, hopefully along with some of the thugs guarding her, or we would both be safe in a non-extradition treaty nation. I also have no doubt that at least some of my true friends and relatives would help me. Protest didn't stop the Gestapo, it didn't stop the Taliban, and it won't stop the judges either.
