PINELLAS PARK, Florida (CNN) -- A woman in a coma-like state for 13 years will no longer be fed after 2 p.m. Wednesday, after an appeals court Tuesday rejected motions from her parents to continue the feedings and keep her alive.

This story makes me sick. This guy is some giant piece of crap. He has a girlfriend that he refers to has his fiance, and from what I understand they have been together for quite a while now. Why doesn't he just divorce his wife so her parents can be the one to decide what happens to her?

Because he wouldn't get the money.

I posted this on another thread that seems to be inactive.
Since all else has failed to this point. Why doesn't her family file charges against the husband for attempted murder, for having caused her initial injury since they have found the x-rays with damage to her neck.
They could then demand that this removal of life sustaining food and water be reversed because Teri is the only witness to what has happened. In the mean time file a motion to get his guardianship removed and this whole thing moved to another court since Judge Greer is intent upon killing Teri - again the only witness. Get the new court to order rehabilitative therapy so that she might in someway be able to testify against her husband at the trial.
Seems to me that with his failure to provide rehabilition, basic care and his own statements and actions witnessed by any number of other people they have a case against him. Others have been found guilty for far less than what they seem to have on Michael Schiavo.
Is anyone in contact with Teri's family or their attorney? I know this sounds desperate, but desperate times warrant desperate measures.

THe only reason that makes sense is he's afraid Terri will get better and start talking. Why else would he want her dead?

God forgive us for this murder.
Have we reached the point where the unwanted can be legally killed......even those outside the womb?

Take it to Scotus and get the Governor to step in with a protective order using the National gaurd if necessary.

Michael Shivano should be required to remove the tube and sit with her for her final days. Maybe her agony will live with him until he takes his final breath.
My faith is being tested.

God forgive us for this murder.
What do you mean "us"? It's the judge and the husband so far as I can tell, if it's any of "us" it would be those who elected a liberal-socialist-murdering judge.

She is not comatose but any way you cut it, she does not have any form of meaningful mentation.
Putting aside any religious/faith issues for the time being, would you want to remain living in the state that she is in? I know I would not.
Like it or not, the law gives the husband authority to decide this issue. I pray, yes pray, that if the same fate awaited me, my loved ones would allow me to exit this life no matter how painful it was for them to say goodbye.

using the National guard if necessary. Couldn't the same troops who sent Elian Gonzales back to Cuba be used to save Terri?

CNN lies Yes. It's what they do.
They're good at it, aren't they?
To: US admirer
I would not want to live like that either. My husband would be the only one to know how I would like to live.
I feel for both sides in this case.

Does anyone have a link to the "video" shot in 2001. I would like to see it.

Michael Shivano should be required to remove the tube and sit with her for her final days. Maybe her agony will live with him until he takes his final breath. Excellent idea. This case, imho, makes history as the longest, slowest, court approved murder ever.
The practice of 'allowing' one to die with dignity by slowly starving to death, being denied even water, is beyond barbaric. We have laws preventing us from treating animals so cruelly.
I have seen part of the video of Terry interacting (when the parents were trying to get the US supreme court to hear the case) and it seemed as though she was communicative. But the odd part is how, for all this time, she was denied even the most basic therapeutic care, given routinely to comatose, terminal and paralyzed patients to help them be comfortable and avoid atrophy and bed sores. It's just sick that nurses could be ordered to not give such care, when others around her were receiving it.

What's this about a potassium imbalance Schiavo blames for his wife's heart failure that he claims should have been detected in wellness checkups? This is how he won a malpractice suit? From that he has collected more than a million dollars. Remember the "Angel of Death" nurse that was convicted of killing patients a few years ago by injecting them with potasium chloride? This causes hyperkalemia (too much potassium in the blood) which leads to cardiac arrest.
Is there more to the story regarding what have caused a potassium imbalance so severe leading to cardiac arrest in this young and vibrant woman? Anyone know more?
