Jindal must distinguish himself from Blanco, or what's a Republican candidate for? Jindal follows a conservative education policy, with classroom discipline, vouchers, etc. If Blanco wants to agree with most of a conservative policy, why should Jindal change? He emphasized the few points of disagreement.

You're right, Jindal set the agenda, and Blanco followed the lead. The paragraph said the two showed little differences. And the audience seemed to think that Blanco made the better presentation. That's LA voters for you!

Well, what I intended to convey is that a Republican should give people a reason to support him and not just agree with all the government spending programs that the Democrat supports. I was trying to be too brief in my comment.

I was trying to be too brief in my comment. I think briefs were involved with my comment as well. :-)
